Job summary

Aerotek in Brampton, ON is seeking a General Production Worker for Transformer Assembly. You will assemble transformer units from blueprints, perform coil connections, and operate tools and production equipment to support North American power systems.

Training provided; strong emphasis on safety and quality. This full-time role offers hands-on welding learning opportunities and a chance to grow in a growing manufacturing field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience using hand and power tools.
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, instructions, and specifications.
• Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn TIG welding and other specialized assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble transformer units using blueprints, work instructions, and build sheets.
• Perform electrical coil connections according to specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• Learn and perform TIG welding and brazing on aluminum and copper components.
• Use manufacturing equipment such as drill presses, band saws, and shears.
• Move materials using overhead cranes and pump trucks.
• Prepare finished transformers for testing and varnishing processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all quality standards, production procedures, and safety policies.

General Production Worker - Transformer Assembly

Join a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency transformers and electrical distribution equipment. As a General Production Worker, you'll play a hands-on role in assembling custom transformer units that help reduce energy waste and support power systems across North America.

Shift Options

• Days: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Afternoons: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Monday to Friday

What You'll Do

• Assemble transformer units using blueprints, work instructions, and build sheets
• Perform electrical coil connections according to specifications
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
