Job summary

Augusta Recyclers in Powell River is seeking a full-time team member to manage gate operations, keep the site clean, and oversee waste and recycling disposal.

You will direct vehicles, help the public with disposal procedures, and ensure station rules are followed safely. The role starts at $20.00/hour with benefits after a 3-month probation period.

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 12 education is recommended.
• Training provided: First aid level 1 with CPR, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work both independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Open and close gates, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
• Direct incoming vehicles and supervise separation of materials.
• Advise and assist the public on proper disposal procedures, answer questions, and enforce station rules safely and professionally.
• Starting wage is $20.00 per hour with benefits offered after a 3 month probation period.

List of Requirements

• Recommended that candidates have completed their grade 12 education
• Required that all candidates are able to successfully complete the following training that will be provided:
• First aid level 1 with CPR
• Operator safety training certification for all equipment on site WHIMS certification
• Transportation of dangerous goods
• Must be able to life up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Candidate must be available to work Monday-Saturday
