Job summary

CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures seeks a Transfer Coordinator in Kelowna for seasonal work. You will be CMH's first guest contact, managing transfers from meeting points to staging areas and handling safety and administrative tasks.

Excellent communication and a calm demeanor on board are essential. The role runs during the winter season with flexible scheduling, requiring travel to CMH areas and interaction with guests from around the world.

Position Overview

Transfer Coordinators are CMH's first contact with guests while travelling from key meeting points to CMH staging areas. As the CMH representative on board the motor coach, responsibilities include a variety of administrative and safety‑related tasks, as well as logistics management and customer service.

The Personal Driver is a seasonal/casual position. The CMH winter season runs from late November to end of April. This position calls for schedule flexibility throughout the operating season.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Complete trip reports, activity program forms, and safety requirements.
  • Circulate digital guest feedback survey.
  • Communicate transportation updates with the lodge and department manager.
  • Act on guest requests and inquiries.
  • Host guests with confidence and a positive, outgoing presence.
  • Solve logistical challenges and adapt to changes in a solution‑focused manner.

All employees will support the implementation of CMH health and safety and sustainability initiatives and participate in training and provide assistance as required during emergency response situations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in tourism, preferred.
  • Experience as a tour guide or group leader, or equivalent experience in the service industry.
  • Experience with high‑end customer service.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms are important, as is the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities. The role requires a trustworthy, goal‑oriented, respectful, and self‑directed individual who can navigate complex responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate must have the confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub‑and‑spoke model.

Working Conditions
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • This position is required, at times, to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
  • This position may require occasional travel to CMH areas, as well as some travel to industry functions on an occasional basis.

Compensation

A competitive hourly rate including vacation pay will be provided based upon qualifications, experience, and skill set. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
