Responsibilities

• Deliver claim adjudication and disability claim management training to new and existing staff.
• Develop and maintain training programs and procedures aligned with policies, legislative changes, and industry best practices.
• Educate and coach staff on claims management, processes, and problem-solving practices.
• Provide tools and techniques for adjudication staff to make informed decisions, understanding external services like medical evaluations, surveillance, legal, and medical referrals.
• Review, develop, and update claim procedures as needed.
• Support staff in understanding updates to procedures, projects, or initiatives.
• Maintain training and reporting documentation.
• Perform quality assurance audits on various disability claims according to the audit plan.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or industry equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience as a disability case manager or claims examiner.
• Experience in developing and delivering adult learning programs.
• Certificates such as medical terminology, ALHC, ACS, ALMI, or FLMI are assets.
• An adult education degree or certificate is an asset.
