Job Title: Technical Training Specialist
As a key contributor on the Technical Training team, the Technical Training Specialist will focus on developing training plans, materials, and delivering training for the Business system tools on the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Program using the ADDIE methodology. This role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, the IT department, and the Government of Canada.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Technical Training or training on large, complex defense or manufacturing projects
- Degree or tertiary qualifications in a Business discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certificate in Adult Education (considered an asset)
- Change Management/Prosci ADKAR certification (considered an asset)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle, including Functional Testing, Regression, Integration, and End-User Acceptance Testing
- Conduct training needs analysis and recommend training for system changes and upgrades for RCD project teams, Fleetway, and the Government of Canada, considering technical environments and security constraints
- Design instructional materials such as software simulations and step-by-step guides, considering delivery methods
- Create and communicate an implementation plan with business owners
- Develop and peer-review training courses, materials, and support materials; utilize vendor training programs to meet organizational goals
- Deliver group and individual training covering technical and operational aspects of Business system tools
- Maintain course information and learner attendance records in ISI's Learning Management System
- Evaluate training effectiveness and revise instructional methods based on relevant data
