Job summary

Cargojet Airways Ltd. in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Manager for Training, Compliance & Ground Handling.

The role leads the training and development strategy and oversees third-party ground-handling operations to ensure safety, compliance and efficient service. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in air cargo or related aviation operations, with proven training program experience and strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation, Education, Operations, Engineering or related discipline required or preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in air cargo, ramp operations, or ground handling in aviation environment.
• Experience developing and implementing training programs and learning solutions.
• Experience managing third-party service providers, vendor relationships or SLAs is an asset.
• Strong project management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, operational teams and external service providers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of ground handling training across all stations.
• Partner with SMEs to translate requirements into effective training programs.
• Ensure training remains current with process/system/regulatory changes.
• Develop learning strategies, assess capabilities and measure impact of training.
• Manage third-party ground-handling providers to ensure safety and performance.
• Monitor vendor performance, conduct reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain training, vendor, and operational documentation and reporting.
