Job summary

CNH Industrial Group in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to lead the manufacturing site's learning programs, ensuring alignment with business needs. You will manage the training system, develop lean and technical training materials, lead Kaizens, train staff, and measure training effectiveness while managing the site budget.

The role requires a degree in Business/HR/Operations or related field, plus experience delivering training and building

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Human Resources, Operations Management or Management, Adult Education, or related field; the equivalent of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Experience in the development and delivering of training.
  • Knowledge of different training methodologies, training needs assessment, and training material creation.
  • Experience as lead speaker to small and large groups of people.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience maintaining high level of drive and energy to meet goals during periods of higher workload.
  • Experience building lasting relationships with other departments and key business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of the location Training Management System including training scheduling.
  • Managing the competency management process to close competency gaps for employees.
  • Develop and improve lean manufacturing, technical skills and power skills training material.
  • Lead Kaizens aimed at eliminating problems with employee development toward competency targets.
  • Act as trainer in designated courses through classroom, coaching, or other methods.
  • Develop and qualify trainers to meet training needs.
  • Complete the twice annual training effectiveness reviews and take counter measures.
  • Design, develop and deliver new training programs that are efficient and have a positive impact.
  • Ensure effectiveness of internal and external training by monitoring and taking corrective steps.
  • Prepare and manage the site training budget.
  • Use data collection and record keeping for the area.

Job Purpose

The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the training and development activities for the Manufacturing site to meet the business needs. They create customer success by delivering the best experiences to their internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the administration of the location Training Management System including training scheduling.
  • Managing the competency management process to ensure that competency gaps for employees are closed.
  • The development and improvement of lean manufacturing training, technical skills training and power skills training material.
  • To lead Kaizens aimed at eliminating problems with development of employees towards their competency targets.
  • To act as trainer in designated courses, through a traditional classroom approach, one-on-one coaching, or other methods.
  • To develop and qualify trainers to meet the training needs.
  • To complete the twice annual training effectiveness reviews and take the necessary counter measures
  • Gathering and analysis of information to design, develop and deliver new training programs that are efficient and effective and have a positive impact on the organization.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of both internal and external training by monitoring, measuring, and taking appropriate corrective steps.
  • Preparation and management of the site training budget.
  • To use the defined method of data collection and record keeping for the area so that information can be compiled and used by the company.
Experience Required
  • Degree in Business, Human Resources, Operations Management or Management, Adult Education, or related field; the equivalent of education and work experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the development and delivering of training.
  • Direct knowledge of different training methodologies, training needs assessment, and training material creation.
  • Experience as lead speaker to small and large groups of people.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in maintaining high level of drive and energy to meet individual and group goals during periods of higher-than-normal workload.
  • Experience in building lasting relationships with other departments and key business partners.
Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is CAD $26.96 - $37.21 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
