Help Build a Canada Without Homelessness

At the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH), we believe homelessness is solvable. We work alongside communities, governments, frontline organizations, and people with lived expertise to help build housing-focused systems that measurably reduce homelessness across Canada.

CAEH is evolving. We are a modern social impact organization that combines systems change, advisory services, data, policy, learning, coaching, and innovation to create lasting impact at scale.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Outcomes-focused
  • Collaborative and adaptable
  • Energized by meaningful work
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and change
  • Curious, thoughtful, and action-oriented
  • Motivated by building better systems and stronger communities

If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As our next Training and Design Specialist, you will play an important role in helping CAEH strengthen communities, scale impact, and accelerate progress toward ending homelessness in Canada.

The Training and Design Specialist translates CAEH’s Strategy and Model for Ending Homelessness to support the day-to-day work of content development and design, including building curricula, tools, and LMS courses, conducting environmental scans and consultations to inform content, and mobilizing knowledge through CAEH's Community of Practice calls, newsletters, and Change Package resources. Beyond content, this role supports the Training and Design Lead in developing content for CAEH's Learning Sessions and other training events, and in tracking training participation and revenue data to support CAEH's growing training service offering.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful work, strong collaboration, and solving complex challenges in a fast-moving environment. You will have the opportunity to influence projects, improve systems, contribute to organizational growth, and help shape the future of CAEH as we continue to evolve.

What You’ll Do
Content Development & Design
  • Support the design, development, and continuous improvement of training curricula, courses, tools, and resources that build capacity to implement the Model for Ending Homelessness, including best and promising practices for local homelessness-serving systems.
  • Complete environmental scans and consult with communities, employees, and subject matter experts to inform the development of training content and knowledge mobilization resources, using project and change management skills and person-centred design approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of new LMS courses and self-directed learning modules, including coordinating the development and maintenance of CAEH's LMS course library.
  • Manage CAEH’s training tools and resources update and development process, including maintaining and developing CAEH's, membership portal, and online content.
  • Support the alignment of training resources and tools with federal and provincial requirements, where appropriate.
Knowledge Mobilization & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with Trainers, Improvement Advisors, and other subject matter experts to identify and capture learning and case study proof points from high-performing communities as a strategy for scale.
  • Assist with the development and reporting on metrics related to knowledge mobilization for ongoing assessment of strategy and providing data-driven impact reports.
  • Support CAEH-hosted Community of Practice (CoP) calls, and capture and highlight learnings from them.
  • Coordinate with the Communications team to mobilize proof points through case studies related to training and knowledge mobilization.
  • Work with the Communications team to promote training materials and produce content to a variety of audiences.
  • Explore and manage other opportunities for knowledge mobilization to advance CAEH's training and capacity-building goals.
Training Support & Business Development
  • Facilitate content development for CAEH's Learning Sessions and other training events, working closely with the Training and Design Lead and the event team to deliver the event.
  • Support the Training and Design Lead in tracking training participation, pipeline, and revenue data in CAEH's CRM and other systems.
  • Support other CAEH fee-for-service projects and offerings as assigned.
Continuous Improvement & Learning
  • Design and issue participant feedback surveys, collect other evaluation data, and sector trends to support the continuous improvement of training content and delivery methods.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies (test, learn, adapt) to content development and design.
  • Contribute to organizational learning through retrospectives and knowledge-sharing across CAEH.
You’ll Also:
  • Collaborate across teams to move strategic priorities forward.
  • Use data, evidence, and feedback to guide decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across projects, systems, and service delivery.
  • Support work that balances mission impact and organizational sustainability.
  • Help foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
