Job summary

Macaulay Centres for Children invites applications for a Trained Teacher (RECE) or School Age Educator in Toronto. This permanent part-time split-shift role is centered at Pelmo Park Child Care Centre and offers competitive benefits with prorated annual salary.

The role focuses on high quality, inclusive programming, collaboration with staff, and strong communication with families. Immediate start preferred, with CUPE Local 2563 relations noted.

Qualifications

• ECE degree/diploma or teacher in good standing with OCT.
• Experience with families and children, including those with special needs.
• Knowledge of ELECT, Play Based curriculum and inclusive programming.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; listening skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Internet and email.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high quality developmentally appropriate programs.
• Lead inclusion and integration of children with special needs.
• Collaborate with staff and supervisors for program planning.
• Communicate with parents and families about learning and development.
• Maintain safe environment and follow health guidelines.
• Supervise students and assist in classroom evaluations.
• Support medication schedules and allergies as needed.
