Job summary

NorthEast Truck and Trailer, part of Valley Group of Companies, invites applications for a Trailer Technician (Entry-Level or Apprentice) at our Dartmouth, NS location. If you have strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn, we provide in-house training and mentorship to help you grow in a hands-on, busy shop environment.

Role focuses on repair, maintenance, and inspection of commercial trailers, with opportunities to work on brakes, electrical, and air systems while maintaining

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
• No formal experience required; in-house, on-the-job training provided.
• Open to fresh graduates, current apprentices, and career changers.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform the repair, maintenance, and inspection of commercial trailers.
• Assist with trailer brakes, body, bearings, suspension, electrical, and air systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults with team support.
• Complete work orders accurately and maintain a clean, safe shop environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

We currently have a full-time position available for a Trailer Technician (Entry-Level or Apprentice) at our Dartmouth, NS location.

No problem. If you have strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn, we will provide the in-house training and mentorship to help you grow.

This is a hands-on role in a busy heavy-duty environment, requiring a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
