Position Overview

The Traffic Engineering Intern will collaborate with a dynamic team of traffic engineering and transportation planning professionals on various projects, including municipal traffic signal coordination, transit operation studies, traffic modelling, traffic impact studies, road safety analysis, and highway planning studies.

  • Graphic Design and Mapping
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years completed toward a degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Knowledge of industry-related software packages
  • Technical writing skills
  • Familiarity with traffic and transportation analysis tools such as Synchro, Vissim, Aimsun, EMME, Legion, and ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools like Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure, AWS
  • Driver's license is an asset but not required
Required Qualifications
  • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
