Transportation Planning Co-op (Summer 2025) - (183017)

The Transportation Planning Co-op will work with a dynamic team of transportation planning/engineering professionals on a variety of transportation planning projects including transit planning projects, transportation master plans, municipal environmental assessments, and travel demand modeling studies.

In the role of Transportation Planning Co-op, we'll count on you to:

  • Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Data analysis
  • Travel demand forecasting
  • GIS mapping
  • Transportation policy research
  • Intersection capacity analysis
  • Transit planning and design
  • Active transportation planning and analysis
  • Public consultation
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry, including ArcGIS and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related field.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
