The Traffic Engineering Intern will work with a dynamic team of traffic engineering and transportation planning professionals on projects such as municipal traffic signal coordination, transit operation studies, traffic modeling, traffic impact studies, road safety analysis, and highway planning studies.

Job Responsibilities

• Traffic Operations Analysis
• Field Surveys / Observations
• Traffic Impact / Development Studies
• Signal Optimization / Traffic Signal Coordination

• Graphic / Mapping

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry
• Technical writing skills
• Knowledge of traffic and transportation analysis tools such as Synchro, Vissim, Aimsun, EMME, Legion, and ArcGIS is an asset
• Knowledge in data analytic tools such as Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure, AWS is an asset
• Driver's license is an asset but not required

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
