Job summary

Binnie invites a Civil Engineering student to join our Traffic Engineering Division in Burnaby for a January–August 2027 term. You will work with senior engineers on design management, traffic engineering, and field assignments, gaining practical experience and mentorship in a collaborative, on-site setting.

Ideal candidates are third-year students with exposure to AutoCAD/Civil 3D. A driver’s license is a plus, and there may be an extension depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree (3rd year preferred).
• Exposure to AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify basic design drawings in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Complete field assignments as required by Project Managers.
• Perform design calculations as required by Project Managers and Engineers.
• Prepare technical reports under supervision.
• Plot, assemble, and deliver drawing submission packages.
• Prepare project documentation and transfers.
• Maintain file naming and layer conventions.
