Job summary

Tenaquip Ltd. is seeking a proactive Traffic Coordinator to report to the Logistics Manager, in a Montreal-area facility.

The role involves building strong relationships with carriers, coordinating shipments, and supporting shipping operations in a fast-paced environment. You will negotiate freight rates, track shipments, and collaborate with Sales and Customer Service on logistics tasks; a minimum of one year in freight/traffic and solid MS Office skills are required, with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Freight / Traffic.
• Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Some knowledge of Customs formalities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and multitasking ability.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of priority.

Job description

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the candidate must be a dynamic individual with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The traffic coordinator creates successful relationships with carriers, shipping personnel, customer service, and all other company employees. Knowledge of the shipping industry locally and/or internationally would be considered an asset.

• Negotiate freight rates with partner carriers;
• Coordinate shipments with Shippers and Consignees;
• Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments;
• Work with Sales and Customer Service on logistics-related tasks;
• Prepare freight-related reports as requested by Management
