Job summary

Titan Traffic Control in Charlottetown, PEI is seeking a Traffic Control Person to assist with setup and tear down of traffic patterns and to direct traffic through work zones safely and efficiently.

The role requires certification in basic traffic safety techniques, the ability to work in all weather conditions, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. A smartphone for timekeeping and reliable transportation to job sites are essential; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain.
• Be able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required.
• The position does not allow for frequent breaks.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be physically capable of performing all flagging duties.
• Have reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to Temporary Workplace Traffic Control Manual
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle at the job site
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site
• Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with company policy
• Ensure that company vehicles are kept clean and orderly and inform management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems
• Review start time and address of job site or meeting location (if applicable) as established and sent by office scheduler via company app
• Read and understand safety manual and employee handbook
• Other job duties as assigned
