Job summary

Advantage Personnel Ltd in Kingston, ON is seeking a Traffic Control (Flagger) to support daily roadwork safety. You will interpret traffic management plans, set up basic controls, and maintain a safety-aware work site.

The role operates Monday to Friday with early morning starts; pay is $21.00 per hour. Candidates must have CSA Grade 1 boots and be comfortable outdoors, standing long periods, and coordinating with crews.

Qualifications

• Must understand road safety principles.
• Able to troubleshoot calmly with diverse teams.
• Able to use smartphones to enter data in field.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic traffic control set-ups that meet MTO Book 7 requirements.
• Regulate traffic flow to protect workers, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
• Interpret traffic management plans to place signs and channeling devices correctly.
• Set up multiple configurations to meet plan requirements and site safety.
• Stop or slow traffic as work progresses to prevent delays.
• Maintain safety awareness and follow health and safety regulations.
