Job summary

SPR Traffic Services LP in Port Alberni, BC is seeking Traffic Control Persons to help maintain safe and efficient traffic flow on our highways and roadways. A valid Class 5 Driver's License is required, with the ability to work day, afternoon, and night shifts. We value safety and teamwork, and provide mentorship, training, and an open-door policy.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Able to work day, afternoon, and night shifts.
• Physically capable of demanding outdoor tasks.
• Willingness to cross-train and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general roadside maintenance such as litter collection and grass cutting.
• Patrol highways and maintain rest stops, shoulders and drainage.
• Control traffic during road maintenance activities and in emergency situations.
• Snow removal (seasonal).
• Ensure safety measures are followed and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment by greasing and checking fluid levels.
• Establish work zones safely and clearly using signage and delineation devices.

What you bring:

• Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License, ensuring the ability to operate vehicles as needed
