Job summary

AWP Safety Canada is hiring for a Traffic Control Manager to lead field teams at job sites. No experience or degree is required as training is provided, with emphasis on safety and career development.

You will ensure proper signaling, equipment readiness, and compliance with provincial regulations while supporting customers in the field. Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work; gear is provided (hard hat, goggles, vest, whistle, radio, weather gear) and you supply steel-toe boots.

Qualifications

• Certification required: Provincial Traffic Control Manager.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic control at job sites and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Sign temp workplaces in accordance with provincial requirements.
• Inspect and prepare equipment and vehicles daily.
• Interact with customers to understand scope of work and traffic control needs.
• Act as Traffic Control Person during crew breaks or lunch periods.
• Support ongoing safety and equipment maintenance.

As a Traffic Control Manager, you work with a team at job sites.No experience ordegree isneeded.Safety comes first—always.We train you.We support you.We help you build a career.

Your daily work includes:

• Ensuring temporary workplace are signed in accordance with provincial requirements
• Ensuring all equipment required for the day is loaded on the truck prior to departing
• Interacting with customers in the field to understand scope of work and level of traffic control required
• Ensuring Traffic Control Persons are following all safety policies in the field
• Acting as a Traffic Control Person while crew members are on breaks/lunches
• Performing routine inspections of temporary workplaces
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs:Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may berequired
• We can provideyou with a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safetyboots that go above the ankle.
