Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management, based in Toronto, seeks a Trading Analyst to join the Global Derivative & Markets team. In a front-office role, you will support FX and rates trading, revenue analytics, and hedge management while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in financial markets and a solid grasp of FX and interest rate products, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial markets.
• Foundational understanding of FX and interest rate markets.
• Familiarity with derivative instruments (FX forwards, swaps, options, IR swaps).
• Experience with trading, derivatives, risk-management, or market data systems.
• Strong trade lifecycle knowledge: booking, valuation, settlement, reporting.
• Strong Excel proficiency and ability to work with financial data.
• Bloomberg experience preferred.
• Exposure to Python/SQL/VBA is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Execute FX and interest rate transactions across relevant products and markets.
• Assist pre-trade with market levels, pricing, and execution requirements.
• Engage with banks and counterparties for pricing and market information.
• Accurate trade capture and booking across systems.
• Support hedge portfolio management including rebalancing and collateral management.
• Monitor trades and resolve booking, confirmation, settlement issues.
• Maintain records and documentation of trading activity.
• Develop desk tools for pricing and analytics.
• Produce regular reporting on trading activity and market developments.
