Job summary

Cadillac Fairview in Toronto Eaton Centre is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Skilled Trades staff across plumbing, electrical and mechanical tasks.

You will perform inspections, respond to work orders, and assist operations during emergencies, with rotating day, evening and night shifts. This unionized role offers competitive benefits and pension through CF, plus time off and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Ability to work from ladders, swing stage and skyjack.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to liaise with tenants.
• Ability to work in electrical, plumbing, millwright support functions.
• Team player.
• Basic knowledge of tools.
• Mechanically motivated.
• Ability to work rotational shifts (day, evening, and night).

Responsibilities

• Plumbing: Bathroom inspection, sump pumps pits inspection, plunger functions.
• Electrical: Cleaning closets electrical + mechanical, breaker reset, runner + safety activities (ladder).
• Mechanical: Equipment greasing, equipment inspection (belt, leaks), filter replacement, runner + safety activities (ladder).
• Assist all Trades to respond and complete all work as per daily business needs.
• General inspections.
• Respond and complete all relevant work orders.
• Assist Operations staff in cases of emergencies.
• Contractors/Consultants escorts as required.
• Liaise with operations staff and supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
