Job summary

Cadillac Fairview Corp. in Toronto is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep interior and exterior spaces safe and presentable, protecting tenants and customers while preserving the corporate image.

Day-to-day duties include responding to maintenance requests, performing inspections, and collaborating with teams to resolve issues in a timely manner. A high school diploma and at least two years of general maintenance experience are required, with a valid driver's license and basic trade

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience in general maintenance in a commercial, retail or industrial environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and carpentry skills are assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to the property to maintain corporate image and safety for tenants and customers.
• Secure CF property against loss by ensuring health, safety and security procedures are followed.
• Conduct daily/weekly inspections of equipment to keep it in good working order.
• Respond to tenants' concerns and assist in solving problems to ensure high service levels.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Role Impact:

To perform the maintenance and upkeep of the exterior and interior of the property to ensure tenants and customers are provided with a safe and healthy environment and the corporate image is maintained.

What you will deliver:

• Perform maintenance and repairs to the property, internally and externally in order to maintain corporate image and provide tenants and customers with a safe and healthy environment
• Secure CF property against loss due to theft, fire, liability claims and prosecutions resulting from operations by ensuring all health, safety and security procedures are adhered to and areas of concern are reported to the appropriate parties in a timely manner in order to limit exposure to liability and loss
• Conduct inspections on equipment on a daily/weekly basis to ensure equipment is maintained in good working order and to avoid major repairs due to negligence
• Respond to tenants concerns and assists in solving problems as required to ensure a high level of customer service to tenants and customers
• Other duties as assigned

Starting pay for this job level may range from $20.16 to $26.88. The actual pay offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
