Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA in Montreal is seeking a Middle Office professional to join the Exotics team within the Operations department. You will model complex derivatives in Front Office systems and support the trading desk, structurers, and internal clients across the lifecycle of structured products.

The role requires a Master’s in Finance, fluent English and French, and strong Excel/VBA with knowledge of Python.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Financial Markets.
  • Operational level of English; French also required.
  • Strong Excel/VBA skills and Python knowledge are an asset.
  • Experience with front office systems and complex derivatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Model complex derivatives transactions in Front Office systems to understand instrument structure.
  • Manage product lifecycle events (coupons, maturities, recalls) and onboarding.
  • Review valuation, pricing, and risk analyses; draft functional specifications.
  • Develop Python or VBA scripts for projects and support the Exotic Trading desk.
  • Coordinate across Front/Middle/Back Office and internal stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesABOUT THE JOB:You will join the Trade Support Unit within the Operations department, which supports traders, structurers, internal clients, and external counterparties in managing their activities, within a dynamic and international environment.You will work within the Exotics Middle Office (Complex Structured Products) .
