Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking an Analyst in North American Trade Settlement Operations within Capital Markets to support the settlement of Canadian transactions and contribute to the Bank's strategic transformation.

You will join a team dedicated to Canadian settlements, working under the Director – Canadian Settlements in a hybrid model that offers career growth and cross-business mobility. Fluent French and English are required, with a business-focused degree and relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree related to business, or Master’s with two years relevant experience.
Good knowledge of listed products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Ability to learn IT systems and work under pressure.
Experience in Capital Markets Operations and resolving irregular transactions.
Knowledge of the CDS system is an asset.

Responsibilities

Act as a resource person for transaction settlement within Capital Markets.
Ensure the settlement of equity transactions at the depository.
Analyze discrepancies in the operational process for Canadian equities.
Follow up on activities and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
Interact with various areas of the Bank to provide technical support to stakeholders in day-to-day operations.
Provide useful information for decision-making and make recommendations to improve work processes.
