Job summary

EQ3 Canada is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative Trade Representative to join our Montreal team at 4428 Boulevard St-Laurent in a full-time capacity. You will develop relationships with trade clients, guide them through the sales process, and coordinate trade promotions and in-store events, while tracking quotes and keeping customers engaged with the EQ3 brand.

With four years in retail or design/trade, strong communication, POS proficiency, and a client-focused mindset, you will help expand

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in retail sales or a design/trade environment.
• High school diploma/GED; post-secondary education in Project Management and retail customer service would be an asset.
• Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and InDesign.
• Self-motivated with strong organization and project management skills.
• Knowledge of the retail furniture industry and ability to scout designers and convert prospects to clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to build relationships with diverse customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with trade clients, actively listening to identify their needs, guiding them through the sales process, and providing product knowledge to help identify potential trade opportunities.
• Network and connect with new potential clients via cold calls, emails, and in-person/virtual appointments.
• Track and follow up on trade quotes/orders, maintain a database of trade members, and act as a communication point to keep them engaged with the brand and up to date on store events & promotions.
• Support store managers and trade project managers in executing trade promotions and in-store events.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative individual to join our Retail Team as a Trade Representative.

THE DETAILS:

You’ll be joining our Montreal team at 4428 Boulevard St-Laurent in a full-time capacity

• You’ll develop a rapport with trade clients, actively listening to identify their needs, guiding them through the sales process, and providing product knowledge to help identify potential trade opportunities
• You’ll have the opportunity to network and make connections with new potential clients via cold calls, emails, and in-person/virtual appointments
• You’ll be responsible for tracking and following up on trade quotes/orders, maintaining a database of trade members, and acting as a point of communication to keep them engaged with the brand and up to date on store events & promotions
• You’ll support store managers and trade project managers in executing trade promotions and in-store events

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Four (4) years of experience in retail sales, or experience in a design/trade environment, is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered
• A high school diploma/GED. Post-secondary education in Project Management and retail customer service would be an asset
• Proficiency in retail operations and systems (Point of Sale, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, InDesign)
• The ability to self-motivate, with strong organization and project management skills. Can work proactively to develop short- and long-term goals, and then execute them as part of a team
• Working knowledge of the retail furniture industry, and an understanding of how to scout designers and turn prospects into clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to develop a strong working relationship with a diverse range of customers and business partners
