We are hiring a Trades Operations Specialist for our Financial Services client in Vancouver, BC.

About Our Client
Our client is an established financial institution who is looking for a Trades Operations Specialist in Vancouver to join their dynamic, growing team. The position is an in office role, however there is a possibility for more flexibility after the successful completion of the probation period.

About The Position

  • Verify and record security data, including pricing, dividends, interest, MBS payments, futures, and exchange rates
  • Accurately process and settle trades across equities, fixed income, and derivatives
  • Maintain well-organized records and documentation
  • Coordinate and confirm trade details with brokers and trust companies
  • Support the execution and rollout of various projects

The Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in securities settlement
  • Post secondary education is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office; Bloomberg experience preferred
  • Canadian Securities Course completion considered an asset
  • Effective communicator with brokers, trust companies, and internal teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure

Compensation

  • Annual salary range up to $60,000 depending on experience.
  • Discretionary bonus.
