Job summary

Corient is seeking a Senior Trade Execution Specialist to manage trading functions and contribute to reporting, investment strategy implementation, and portfolio analysis.

The role requires strong Excel skills, familiarity with trading operations, and collaboration with advisors and the investments team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics required.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with significant knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Portfolio Accounting Software, Microsoft Suite, Market Data hubs, Execution venues preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete trade execution for stocks, bonds, ETFs, options and mutual funds.
  • Enter, manage, and complete trades and client cash flows.
  • Run rebalancing processes and monitor allocations vs models.
  • Onboard new clients into portfolio reporting systems and maintain settings.

The Senior Trade Execution Specialist position will be primarily responsible for managing trading functions of the office, with additional roles and responsibilities in both internal and external reporting on investments, investment strategy implementation, and custom portfolio analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Complete trade execution for various categories of trades across the platform, including but not limited to: rebalancing, tax loss harvesting, one-off trades, changes to asset allocation, margin clears, liquidity needs
  • Enter, manage, and complete stock, bond, ETF, option, and mutual/pooled fund trades as well as direct separately managed account cash flows
  • Properly run rebalancing process, including:
  • Setup, assign, maintain, and monitor accounts within rebalancing software
  • Rebalance client portfolios in accordance with advisor / investments team guidance
  • Rebalance client portfolios in accordance to models provided by 3rd party investment managers
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of firm trade execution
  • Monitor drift vs. models for client portfolios with timely reporting to advisor/investment teams
  • Perform ongoing maintenance in portfolio reporting system and trading rebalancer to ensure accurate client profile attributes and target allocations
  • Perform ongoing trade review and reconciliation of all trades
  • Onboard new client relationships into portfolio reporting system, including: target allocation, client profile attributes, and importing outside assets
  • Maintain account and system settings within trading and reporting software systems
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required, preferably in Finance or Economics.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with significant knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce, Portfolio Accounting Software, Microsoft Suite, Market Data hubs, Execution venues preferred
  • Experience with trading operations and protocols, preferably within the asset management industry or at an institutional custodian
  • Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio construction and tax-efficient portfolio management strategies (i.e. asset location, tax-loss harvesting, etc.).
  • Awareness of and ability to follow escalation procedures
  • Thorough understanding of importance of liquidity needs and appropriate cash management procedures
  • Ability to be organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Set high quality standards and strive for continues improvement and quality assurance
  • Passion for problem-solving both individually and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal communication skill to coordinate with clients, advisors, and other team members
  • Interest in financial markets, investments and investment strategies, and wealth management

This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $95,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others.
