Job summary

CI Financial is seeking an Investment Policy Analyst to support Investment Counsellors, Portfolio Managers and their teams with trade instructions, policy inquiries, and complex trade analysis. You will help maintain pool and segregated portfolio models and ensure alignment with client objectives and IPS requirements.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial services industry with knowledge of mutual funds and investment products.
  • Completion of, or progress toward, industry designations or courses (e.g. CFA, CIM, CSC) is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of investment management principles, portfolio construction, and asset allocation concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate asset allocation instructions and portfolio rebalancing activities for our Private Client managed portfolios.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Pool and Segregated portfolio models, ensuring alignment with client objectives, risk profiles, IPS requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Investigate and resolve trade-related inquiries by analyzing issues, recommending solutions, and driving timely resolutions.
  • Perform portfolio market value analysis as it relates to LOI/Adjustment requests, and coordinate the end-to-end correction process with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide timely and professional support to Investment Counsellors, Portfolio Managers, their assistants, and other business partners
  • Review daily integrity reports and contribute to quality control, risk mitigation, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities

In this role, you will support Investment Counsellors, Portfolio Managers, and their teams by preparing accurate trade instructions, resolving investment policy and trade-related inquiries, and coordinating complex trade analysis and correction activities. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $42,500 to $71,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education‑related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others.
