Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Traction Power Engineer to design and optimize traction power systems for rail and transit across Canada. You will contribute to studies, modeling, and integrated system design, ensuring safety and compliance with Canadian and international standards.

With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and technical leadership, you will engage in QA/QC, design reviews, and stakeholder coordination to deliver high‑quality transit infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required or equivalent.
• Licensure as P.Eng. in Ontario or eligibility is expected.
• Master’s degree is an asset for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AC and DC traction power studies including load flow and protection coordination.
• Interpret study results to guide technical decisions and ensure CSA/IEC/IEEE compliance.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Develop grounding and bonding designs aligned with safety standards.
• Collaborate with signaling, track, OCS, rolling stock, and civil disciplines.
