Purpose of the position:
No railroad experience is required! In this position, you will maintain the track and surrounding areas using moderate physical labour and technology (automated machinery). We use technology as much as possible to reduce physical stress. Duties include replacing and repairing track components such as rails, ties, fences, and adjusting track alignment and surface, as well as responding to emergencies and outages.

Operating safely is fundamental at CPKC. All new hires for safety-sensitive roles must complete a pre-employment medical including physical, vision, hearing, alcohol, and drug assessments. Pre-employment drug tests are also required. Candidates participating in the Trainee Program will need to pass a drug test during training before final qualification.
