Job Description
AECOM Burnaby is hiring an experienced Track Construction Inspector to support our growing transportation infrastructure team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Conducting comprehensive daily inspections of track infrastructure to ensure compliance with quality standards, performance expectations, and safety regulations
Applying independent judgment and nearly five decades of field experience to proactively resolve construction and operational challenges
Coordinating with project managers, engineering teams, and construction crews to support efficient project execution
Monitoring and tracking quality assurance processes, including documentation of inspection records and construction milestones
Supporting punch list development and commissioning activities
Participating in project closeout processes where required
Contributing to a culture of safety and compliance on site
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Minimum of 8 years of experience in track construction or inspection or Technical diploma + 6 years experience in track construction
Preferred Qualifications :
Completion of industry-relevant courses
Experience coordinating with engineering consultants, contractors, and Class 1 freight rail companies
Familiarity with Canadian National (CN) standards and processes, specifically construction projects
Proven experience in track inspection and construction supervision
Strong understanding of safety standards, quality control measures, and compliance protocols in Class 1 rail environments

Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $45.00 / hour - $60.00 / hour.
