Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Traffic Planning and Traffic Engineering (TPTE) Lead to guide a Prairies & Territories team across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and northern territories.

You’ll drive transportation planning, traffic engineering, and multimodal projects with a focus on technical excellence and leadership. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil or transportation-related fields and 8+ years of experience, plus a track record in people leadership,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, planning, or a related field. A graduate degree would be considered an asset.
Minimum of 8 years of related experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, transportation safety, multimodal transportation, project delivery, business development, and/or people leadership; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Professional registration, or eligibility for registration, in a related discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, manage, and grow the TPTE team across the Prairies and Territories in alignment with Infrastructure’s strategic direction and business priorities.
Promote a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, accountability, inclusion, and high-quality project delivery.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development support to direct reports and team members, including performance guidance, goal setting, and development planning.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development, marketing, proposals, and pursuit strategies for key transportation opportunities.
Lead and support transportation planning, traffic engineering, transportation safety, and multimodal transportation projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Contribute to project delivery in assigned project roles, including discipline lead responsibilities, project execution planning, quality management, schedule and budget performance.
