Job summary

Cropac Equipment Inc. in Abbotsford is looking for an experienced Tower Crane Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair tower cranes and self-erecting cranes at customer sites and in our shop.

This role involves complex electrical and mechanical work, regular travel to customer jobsites, and responding to urgent breakdowns. You’ll work independently and with a service and erection crew, ensuring safe, reliable operation and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson or Red Seal certification in a relevant trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tower cranes at customer sites and in the shop.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic issues involving motors and controls.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance including gearbox servicing and cable inspections.
• Assist with erection, testing and commissioning of cranes at new sites.
• Document inspections and repairs; complete service reports per standards.
• Operate service vehicles and rigging equipment safely; travel to jobsites.
