The role involves loading and unloading goods while ensuring the safety and security of cargo, operating different types of trucks, and providing emergency roadside assistance. Applicants should have the required driver's licenses and are expected to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 month to less than 7 months experience in a similar role.
  • Must hold a Class 1 or A, and Class 3 or D driver's licenses.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including handling heavy loads up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload goods safely.
  • Drive trucks for transporting goods, ensuring vehicle checks.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and maintenance.

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
