Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect in Toronto to partner with customers and design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology. You will work with account executives and customer technical leads to become a trusted advisor throughout the sales lifecycle.

You will build reference architectures, demonstrate value, and drive adoption across data engineering, ML, and analytics teams, traveling up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Fluent in SQL and database technology.
• Debug and development experience in Python, Scala, Java, or R.
• Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (desired).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to develop account strategies to grow platform usage.
• Establish Databricks Lakehouse architecture as the standard data architecture for customers.
• Build and present reference architectures and demos for prospects.
• Capture technical wins by consulting on big data architectures and data pipelines.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities.
