Power to Change is inviting campus staff to join our Toronto team, working with university students to share the gospel and develop leaders for Christ-like impact. You will engage in evangelism, discipleship, and teaching, serving with a local team leader across campuses.

Ideal candidates demonstrate a deep faith, maturity, teamwork, and a heart for ministry training, with readiness to participate in MPD and national priority events.

Responsibilities

  • Live out our kingdom objectives with your team (Face-to-face ministry) – 55%
  • Create opportunities for engagement with students while believing God for great things
  • Mobilize students to be Christ-centered labourers growing in Christ-like character
  • Develop students to multiply themselves spiritually and start new movements anywhere in the world
  • Be active and take initiative in sharing your faith
  • Plan and prepare for effective ministry – 25%
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and New Staff training

Ministry Overview

Power to Change is a family of 11 ministries, all pursuing a common mission: to help people know Jesus and experience his power to change the world. A campus staff member in Toronto is expected to serve the students toward this goal. In accordance with our mission statement to spread the gospel, everyone who applies to be involved will be required to sign and adhere to the Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.

Position Overview

Campus staff, serving with Power to Change – Students in Toronto, can expect to work at one or multiple universities with a team, under a local team leader to accomplish our purpose of helping students take their next steps towards Jesus. Though day-to-day activities may vary, campus staff will engage in one-on-one and small group evangelism, discipleship, and teaching. Campus staff will also have the opportunity to receive and participate in ministry skill development, training, leadership, strategy deployment, resource development, conferences, campus outreach, and other missional activities critical to helping students discover Jesus and become life‑long labourers for Christ.

Responsibilities:

Live out our kingdom objectives with your team (Face-to-face ministry) – 55%

Practice and master any digital and/or physical tools required for your role

Ministry Partner Development & Care – 10%

Be a part of the plan for the recruitment of labourers in your area

Build and execute the necessary habits to cultivate solid funding for your life and ministry needs

Communicate monthly with your ministry partners

Participate in National Priorities – 10%

Actively participate in the preparation and execution of national and regional events such as various Retreats / Conferences, Mission Trips and Recruitment

Education & Experience:

Graduation from a post-secondary institution

Relatable ministry experience

Funding:

Ministry Partner Development (MPD) is the process of building a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for your personal ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical, a privilege and an integral part of being in ministry. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.

Candidates who are selected will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check.

The mission of Power to Change is to further the movements of Christian evangelism and discipleship. All Power to Change staff members and volunteers work collectively to further this overall religious mission. The successful candidate for this position must have a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the Power to Change Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith. The successful candidate must agree to, sign and, in all good conscience abide by the biblical principles outlined by these documents. It is a pre-requisite of employment at Power to Change that any and all staff members and volunteers sign and abide by these documents throughout their course of involvement at Power to Change.
