Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto invite applications for an academic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specializing in craniofacial and soft tissue reconstruction/trauma care. The appointment starts July 1, 2027, with flexibility based on the candidate's situation.

The successful candidate will contribute to medical student, resident, and fellow education and will hold an academic role as Surgeon Teacher or Investigator within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Specialized fellowship training in craniofacial surgery.
• Expertise in reconstruction of complex soft tissue defects.
• Experience in skin cancer management is an asset.
• Eligible for appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of Assistant or higher and for RCPSC certification and CPSO licensure.
• Strong teaching and research record; evidence of scholarly activity (research, quality improvement, education).

Responsibilities

• Provide academic plastic and reconstructive surgery in craniofacial and trauma domains.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents and fellows at U of T and Sunnybrook.
• Join a team of surgeons with focus on craniofacial surgery and trauma reconstruction.
• Assume an academic role as Surgeon Teacher or Investigator.
