Job summary

The University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for a full-time General Surgeon specializing in Breast Surgery to join the Section of General Surgery, commencing January 1, 2027, or on a mutually agreed date.

The successful candidate will manage a busy clinical breast practice within a dedicated breast clinic, perform oncoplastic procedures, participate in weekly tumour boards, and contribute to resident

Qualifications

  • Certified or eligible for certification in General Surgery by RCPSC.
  • Expertise in breast surgery and oncoplastic procedures.
  • Strong collaborative skills and commitment to resident education and quality improvement.
  • Interest in clinical research is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a busy clinical breast practice within a dedicated breast clinic.
  • Perform oncoplastic procedures and collaborate with Plastic Surgery for reconstruction.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumour boards and resident education.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to advance breast care in Manitoba.
