Job Description:

itec group is recruiting for a client in the Stratford area who is looking to add a Tool & Die Maker to their team. You will have experience with; developing tooling, manual machining, welding, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with competitive salary, pension, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing tooling from drawings and concepts
• Troubleshoot and repair dies-Provide shop floor support
• Completes daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checklists and maintains records of scheduled maintenance
• Strong knowledge of machining and tool making equipment such as; lathes, end mills, surface grinders, welder etc.
• Understand customer prints, engineering specifications, layout results and functional requirements
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, informal sketches and notes

What you bring to the table:

• Proven experience in a fast paced production setting
• 2 years experience with Tool and Die fabrication
• Welding experience considered an asset
• Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
