Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, Canada, seeks skilled machinists to design tooling and manufacture templates for aerospace production. You will work with Catia V5 to identify tool needs and request parts from purchasing, while operating conventional and CNC lathes/milling machines and press brakes.

Join a team that assembles template parts, performs inspections with CMM equipment and applies GD&T knowledge. Some small Mastercam programming and trackers improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• DEC Mechanical Engineering, or ASP Tooling.
• Basic knowledge of tolerances and GD&T.
• For CNCs, the ability to do simple programming (Mastercam) will be an important asset.
• Working knowledge of Tracker Lazer and Polyworks system (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Work in a Catia V5 computer system to identify the needs for tools and parts for the manufacture of templates (drawings established by the engineering/method departments)
• Request parts from the purchasing department
• Operate conventional and CNC lathes/milling machines (Hyundai WIA)
• Operate press brakes, saws and drills to transform raw materials
• Assemble the template parts and install them
• Use a CMM inspection machine
