Job summary

Waiward Industrial LP in Edmonton, Alberta, seeks a dedicated Tool Crib Attendant for a permanent full-time night shift. You will receive, store, maintain and issue supplies to support fabrication and construction projects, while keeping accurate records and stock levels.

You will check quantities, manage purchasing requisitions, repair small tools and operate with safety in mind, adhering to PPE standards and WHMIS requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Tool Crib is an asset.
  • Knowledge of how to repair small tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • FLHA Training is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • WHMIS.

Responsibilities

  • Displays a commitment to Waiward’s incident-free vision, values, and culture.
  • Check for proper quantity and for damaged goods.
  • Maintain digital and physical records.
  • Ensure adequate stock is available.
  • Compile purchase requisitions.
  • Take inventory of stock and issue supplies.
  • Distribute tools and consumables.
  • Receive tools and equipment.
  • Repair small tools and equipment.
  • Attend weekly toolbox meetings.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping in work area.
  • Take reasonable care and cooperate with the employer to protect the health and safety of themselves and their co-workers.
  • Participate in the HSE Safety Incentive Program by completing an SI card on a weekly basis.
  • Adhere to all Company PPE standards, ensuring appropriate personal protective equipment is worn at all times.
  • Report personal injuries, no matter how minor, and obtain medical attention as required.
  • Willing to work overtime when needed.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

Working Conditions

The incumbent is required to work in the fabrication shop with moderate noise.

Physical Requirements

The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing computer terminal and specifications for extended periods of time; and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and will require good physical attributes for walking on uneven ground, climbing, confined space entry, limited lifting, and sitting.
