Job summary

TOMCO ProductionServices Ltd. in Alberta (Leduc) is seeking a seasonal Tool Crib Attendant to manage tool inventory and support field teams. Training will occur at our Leduc shop in August, with on-location work required in September.

Applicants should be knowledgeable with industrial tools, physically able to lift and stand for long periods, and proficient in computerized inventory systems such as MS Excel. A strong, team-focused work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of inventory processes and tools.
  • Proficiency with computerized inventory systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory, maintaining accurate records of all tools and equipment, perform regular inventory checks/counts, and order replenishments when necessary
  • Distribute tools, issue, receive and track tools using computerized or manual systems to ensure accountability
  • Inspect tools upon return for damage or safety issues, perform basic maintenance, and remove, repair, or replace, unsafe/unserviceable tools
  • Organize the tool crib for efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations
  • Coordinate with purchasing for new inventory and assist production teams by locating necessary equipment

The right candidateshall:
  • Be able to train for position at our Leduc shop, in August and be on location out of town in September.
  • Be knowledgeable with industrial, mechanical or construction tools andequipment.
  • Be technically skilled, proficient in computerized inventory systems(eg. MS Excel)
  • Be physically able to perform tasks while standing, walking and lifting.
  • Have previous experience in a warehouse, tool room or inventory controlrole is considered an asset.
  • Be eager and willing to learn
  • Show ability to listen, follow direction and have high attention todetail
