Cleveland-Cliffs' Windsor, Ontario Tool Build Facility is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to ensure tooling meets process expectations. This role requires good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will compute dimensions and tolerances, set up machine tools, fit and assemble parts, test tools, and collaborate with manufacturing groups to drive quality and cost improvements.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of related experience in tooling or manufacturing environment.
• Trade certification.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Must be able to work Days/Afternoons rotation and OT.

Electromac Tool, a division Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker in our Windsor, Ontario Tool Build Facility. The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary Of Responsibilities

• Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools.
• Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining.
• Fit and assemble or disassemble parts using hand tools and test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation
• Work directly with all manufacturing groups ensuring tooling meets process expectations
• Work directly with tooling suppliers in build to print, or design and build situations to ensure tools meet expectations
• Analyze manufacturing and tooling problems and formulate solutions
• Make repairs and adjustments as needed
• Suggest new methods and processes for quality improvements or cost savings

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of related work experience
• Trade certification
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Able to work Days/Afternoons rotation and required OT

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment

The pay range for this role is $30.00/hour to $45.00/hour.
