Purpose

The successful applicant must be competent of performing all tasks associated with the maintenance of all tires.

Responsibilities

Safety Expectations

• Responsible for their health and safety
• Correct and report unsafe practices and conditions
• Maintain a safe and healthful workplace
• Make suggestions to improve any aspect of safety
• Follow all Discovery safety policies and procedures
  
  

Essential Job Duties

• Perform all tasks associated with the maintenance of all tires.
• Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and Porcupine Environmental Regulations, Safety, and Sustainability Standards
• Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department
• Must be highly motivated, organized, and must be capable of decision-making
• Responsible for providing own tools
• Assisting in other works areas may be required
  
  

Training and Education

• Must have successfully completed the Tire Technician Program by the TIA (Tire Industry Association)
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Must be competent to operate Tire Manipulator and Loader and assist mechanics when required
• DZ driver's license Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer, and written skills
• Must be able to organize work and self-motivated
• Must be willing to work with others
• Be technically competent
