Job summary

Aramark Canada East, serving Dalhousie University at the Life Sciences Centre, is seeking a Tim Hortons Team Lead. You will guide front-line staff, supervise operations, and ensure a consistently high standard of service in a busy campus cafe environment.

The role emphasizes reliability, customer focus, and the ability to adapt to changing needs across shifts. You will report to the Supervisor, oversee scheduling, training, and performance, and partner with the broader Aramark team to maintain

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in food service industry.
• 2+ years' experience in a leadership role.
• Experience at Tim Hortons franchise is an asset.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assure quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers.
• Operate grill, fryers, and ovens as needed.
• Food preparation and merchandising of food stations.
• Maintain sanitation of surrounding work area.
• Stock shelves, refrigerators and prep stations.
• Adhere to Aramark and franchise policies.
• Assist Supervisor in scheduling during outages.
• Lead team huddles for safety briefs and events.
• Perform other duties as required.

Come join us and Reach for Remarkable! Aramark Canada is seeking a reliable, customer-focused individual to join the Tim Hortons team located in the Life Sciences Centre at Dalhousie University. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Lead Hand is responsible for leading the front-line team in providing an exceptional customer service experience!

Job Responsibilities

• Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
• May be required to use grill, fryers, and ovens
• Food preparation, including merchandising of food stations, and food service
• Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
• Stock shelves, refrigerators and prep stations
• Adhere to all Aramark and franchise policy and procedures
• May assist Supervisor in adjusting team schedule based on team outages
• May host team huddles to discuss safety briefs, events, and pertinent information
• May perform other job duties as required

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in food service industry required
• 2+ years' experience in a leadership role required
• Experience working at Tim Hortons franchise considered an asset
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Skilled in effective communication both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Flexible; evening and weekend work may be required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
