Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Thrift Store Supervisor for the St. Thomas location. The role supports the Corps Officer in running daily store operations and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining inventory and merchandising standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, managing stock levels, cash handling, and preparing sales summaries. The position requires a Diploma and at least two years in related retail roles, with flexibility for Saturday

Qualifications

Completion of a Community College diploma or equivalent in a related field of study.
Minimum two (2) years of prior related experience, including retail, marketing and supervisory experience.
Cash handling experience is required.

Responsibilities

Assist in executing store operations.
Determine and maintain appropriate stock levels.
Supervise a team of employees and volunteers to ensure standards in sales, customer service, merchandising, marketing and public relations are achieved.
Serve customers courteously and address concerns, suggestions and complaints.
Ensure accuracy in all customer transactions.
Oversee inventory, pricing and tagging; assist with layout, displays and signage.
Prepare sales summaries and contribute to meeting store budgets.
