Job summary

Carewest in Calgary is seeking a Therapy Assistant to join the team at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre. You will work under Physical and/or Occupational Therapists to deliver therapeutic programming aimed at helping clients reach discharge goals and improve functional independence.

Responsibilities include contributing to safe, client-centered care and performing related duties as required. The role emphasizes chronic medical care for adults with complex conditions and dialysis support needs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program.
• Relevant equivalent training or experience may be considered.
• Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
• Experience with computers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic programming under the direction of Physical and/or Occupational Therapists.
• Assist clients to achieve discharge goals.
• Contribute to clients' quality of life by maximizing safe, functional independence.
• Perform related duties as required.
