Job summary

Carewest Innovative Healthcare at Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre in Calgary is seeking a Casual Therapy Assistant to support the therapy team with patient-focused programming.

You will collaborate with Physical and Occupational Therapists to help clients reach discharge goals and maximize safe, functional independence. Responsibilities include providing interventions, contributing to quality of life, and performing related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program.
• Relevant equivalent training or experience may be considered.
• Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
• Experience with computers preferred.

Position Summary:

Responsible for working under the direction of the team Physical and/or Occupational Therapists to provide therapeutic programming to clients focused on helping them to achieve their discharge goals. This position works as part of the therapy team to contribute to the client’s quality of life by providing appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence. Responsible for other related duties as required.
