Job summary

Carewest is seeking a Casual Therapy Assistant at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre in Calgary. The role supports Physiotherapy and/or Occupational Therapy to deliver therapeutic programs aimed at achieving discharge goals.

As part of the therapy team you will contribute to client quality of life by providing interventions that maximize safe, functional independence and assist with related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program.
• Relevant equivalent training or experience may be considered
• Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
• Experience with computers preferred.

Position Summary:

Responsible for working under the direction of the team Physical and/or Occupational Therapists to provide therapeutic programming to clients focused on helping them to achieve their discharge goals. This position works as part of the therapy team to contribute to the client's quality of life by providing appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence. Responsible for other related duties as required.
