Job summary

Carewest, a leading Calgary healthcare provider, invites a Therapy Assistant to join the Rehabilitation and Community Transition Program. You will work under Physical and/or Occupational Therapists to deliver therapeutic programming aimed at maximizing safe, functional independence for clients in transition.

The position is temporary part-time, with a 31.00 FTE (0.40) and day shifts. Prior accredited therapy assistant education and experience in a therapeutic setting are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program.
• Relevant equivalent training or experience may be considered.
• Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
• Experience with computers preferred.

The Opportunity

This position works as part of the therapy team to contribute to the client's quality of life by providing appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence. Responsible for other related duties as required.

Program Summary: Rehabilitation and Community Transition Program (RCTP) - a short-stay restorative care program that supports medically stable adults who do not need an acute-care level of service, but may require additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community.
